The Good Design Award, formerly known as "China Good Design", was founded in 2015 and has been successfully held for four sessions.

The 2019 Good Design Preliminary Evaluation Meeting was held in Tianjin on October 14. The preliminary evaluation meeting focused on the hundreds of projects declared this year, and selected 40 product craft projects and 50 creative projects to be recommended for consideration at the final evaluation meeting. The 2019 Good Design Final Evaluation Meeting was successfully held in Hangzhou on October 30. The former executive vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the director of the China Good Design Expert Committee, the former director of the National Science and Technology Award Work Office, the vice chairman of the China Innovation Design Industry Strategic Alliance, and Director of China Good Design Executive Committee, Secretary General of China Innovative Design Industry Strategic Alliance and Director of China Good Design Executive Committee and many experts from China's innovative design field, China Innovative Design Regional Alliance, China Good Design Regional Center, China Good Design Partner More than 40 experts including the heads of units and organizations, the China Engineering Science and Technology Knowledge Center of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the head of the project management team of Inspur Group participated in the final evaluation meeting. The final evaluation meeting will focus on the evaluation of the above-mentioned 90 shortlisted projects, and select the gold award, silver award and creative award from them.
